BRINKLEY: You're coming through five-by-five.

LAPAN: Great. And our colleagues over at the U.S. Geological Survey, are you on as well?

JOHNSON: We are here.

LAPAN: OK. Thank you. Good afternoon, all. Thanks for coming at this sort of hastily put-together press briefing. This is an on- the-record briefing.

The individuals that you will be hearing from today are Paul Brinkley, who is the director of the Task Force for Business and Stability Operations; Jack Medlin, who is with the U.S. Geological Survey, international programs scientist; and Kathleen Johnson, also with USGS in the minerals programs; she's the coordinator.
