[*] WOLFSON: Good morning, everyone. This is Howard Wolfson, the communications director for the Clinton campaign.

I am joined by Harold Ickes and Mark Penn. And with me also is Phil Singer.

I'm going to have Harold talk about the path to the nomination from here. Mark will talk about the choice that we're going to be asking voters to consider in Ohio and Texas in the next two weeks.

And then we'll turn it over for questions as we always do. We'll try to take questions for as long as we can.

Mark and Harold are very busy. If they have to leave, Phil and I will try to take questions for as long as we can.

So with that, I turn it over to Harold Ickes.

ICKES: Good morning.

I just want to -- the backdrop of this is -- I continue to go back to Senator Obama's projections that were published on the 6th of March in which he projected that he and Mrs. Clinton would be coming out of this whole process short of the number of pledged delegates needed to clinch down the nomination. We didn't disagree at the time, and we don't disagree now.

So when this whole process is over on the 6th or the 7th of June with Puerto Rico, both candidates will need a number of automatic delegates to clinch the nomination.

We think that Mrs. Clinton will be able to get those and clinch the nomination at about the time of Puerto Rico or shortly thereafter.

It's interesting to note that, notwithstanding the results last night, by my calculation, Mr. Obama picked up six more delegates than he had projected, not an overwhelming number if you look at it from a point of view of the delegate count...
