JOSH EARNEST, OBAMA CAMPAIGN SPOKESMAN [*] EARNEST: Good afternoon, everybody. And thanks for your patience, and we apologize for the delay in starting the call. We're juggling a lot of schedules today.

But we have a great line-up today to talk about -- about the legislation that's on the floor of the Senate today and Senator McCain's reluctance to support a proposal that actually would make important investments in local economies across the country because he says that he is uncomfortable supporting tax hikes for the oil industry.

So making that case today for us will be the chairman of the Senate Energy Committee, Jeff Bingaman from New Mexico, Senator Debbie Stabenow from Michigan, where Senator McCain is campaigning today, Senator Amy Klobuchar from Minnesota. And then a fourth and last- minute addition to our line-up today is Congressman Rick Boucher from Virginia, who can address some of the accusations made by the McCain campaign today and their attempts to distort Senator Obama's reco...
