We have quite a long list of witnesses. Let me say at the outset that you each have five minutes. I wish we had more time but in order to get through.And as you know we have far more requests than we can accommodate. So apparently you won the lottery this year to be on the list. But your full statement will be made a part of the record and the staff will take it into consideration. Our committee has 500 different programs that we cover. So you can understand the challenges. And all of them are good and all of them serve people in one way or another. And our goal is to try to use the resources we have as wisely as possible. It is a challenge because this year our allocation is going to be less than we had last year, which means we have to make some really tough priority choices as to where we use the funds and where they will give the greatest benefit to the people of these United States. We do the best we can. We use the information provided by people like yourselves and others to determine where is our greatest need and where is the greatest benefit. We'll have, what, a couple more days of public hearing? We do make an effort to give people an opportunity to make their case. Our first witness today will be Dr. Shelley Hearne. Hearne? Whatever. Executive director of Trust for America's Health. Well, that sounds like a pretty ominous responsibility to be in charge of the Trust for America's Health.
