[*] BIDEN: One year ago this year, the bombing took place in Madrid, and, quite frankly, nothing -- nothing -- has been learned by this administration based on what happened in Madrid.

Since 9/11, we've spent over $20 billion for aviation, and we have spent a total of $420 million on rail.

A half a million people per day are in Penn Station in New York. That's more than all the people that are in LaGuardia and Kennedy Airports combined.

In this city, the single most visited site in D.C., is Union Station: 25 million people a year.

There are 26,000 miles of track, and there's a total of 300 Amtrak police officers.

In Penn Station in New York, there are six to eight officers per day, one canine patrol unit and not anything on the weekends.
