Today's hearing provides an opportunity for the members of the subcommittee to assess the status of the defense science and technology program and the administration's plans and priorities for the program as reflected in the fiscal 2006 budget.I have three or four or five pages of opening statement here. I'm going to ask unanimous consent that it be placed in the record because I am having a terrible time talking.
